Episode#15

This episode #15 sets new grounds as it delivers into music not often found on television? Here we sit in on the Eureka Brass Band at the famous, newly opened Eureka Inn lounge. There are also a few adventures in improvisional jazz. We watch jazz vocalist impresario Bill Allison as he crafts his vocal stylings, accompanied by piano greats Darius Brotman and Easton Stuart. Bill shows us the art of 'scat' and other styles of jazz singing only attempted by the best. 'Arts Alive' for January was not left out and this time we visit the opening of the Kinetic Sculpture Museum in Eureka. Those not familiar with the Kinetic Sculpture Race will be dazzled by the 'Kinetic' goings on at this eclectic artistic space. Don't miss all the eccentric musicians, characters, and artists that are drawn to this unique place.

There's also another peek into the 'Occupy Eureka' movement at the courthouse. This time during one of their weekly, Friday music and enlightenment events, a rival group descends on them to show their non-support. What unfolds is numerous debates, arguments, and discussions that will have onlookers rethinking their thoughts? Lots of other surprises and spotlights, including a new trailer for "Fronk" the Ch12 mini series and a scene from the next upcoming Episode #2 soon to be released. All told, this is an addition to the long running series and another brick that will eventually turn into a great wall of television....the way it should be offered? Enjoy!

Episode #14 ~ A grand finale for 2011 -- it's Episode 14 of The Michael The K Experience! In this episode Michael digs into his extensive archives to bring you a never-before-seen live show of Animals - Christmas 1992 from Lennon Studios in San Francisco; he also finds gems from his journey wading into the woodchips at Blue Ox Millworks where local craftsmen demonstrate their talents -- not to mention the zany puppetry of Mark Dupre and the music of the Pilot Rock Ramblers and Joe Garceau!

Michael also finds his old friend Les Craig singing to the wild animals at Olivia's Bistro -- and runs into beasts of a different sort at Occupy Eureka's controversial protests in front of the Humboldt County Courthouse. You be the judge -- is it illegal camping, or free speech taking place there?
The strangely spooky Carpathian rounds out the show with heartwarming tales of terror for the holiday season. Michael the K and the entire Eureka Tribune crew wish you a Merry Christmas with this show, and keep watching for the world premiere of Fronk in the new year!
